In Korea, the same location can be written as a road address or a lot number (jibun) address. Both refer to the same building; one search on this site shows both and the English address.

The same location can be written in two ways. Example (Government Complex-Seoul):

• Road address: 110, Sejong-daero, Jung-gu, Seoul — nationwide since 2014; common for parcels, navigation, and mail.
• Lot number (jibun): 31, Taepyeongno 1-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul — based on land registry; often used in official and real estate documents.

Searching 세종대로 110 or 태평로1가 31 on this site yields the same English address (110, Sejong-daero, Jung-gu, Seoul).

When to use which?

For parcels, mail, and international shipping, road address (and its English form) is often used. Some legal or official forms may require the lot number; follow the instructions of the requesting party.

English conversion

Searching either form on this site can yield the same English address. When a road name exists, the English result is usually in road + building number form. You can see both road and lot on the result card.
